Quick Trip Report
We managed to sneak out and get two great dives in this morning on the F/V Patriot in Stellwagen Bank. East Coast Divers had booked a full charter and we had great group of divers on-board the Daybreaker.
Managing to get out to Stellwagen Bank in the fall is always a risk especially in October but nevertheless we had good conditions on the way out. Flat calm seas and very little swell.
Unfortunately things picked up a bit (as the marine forecast predicted) in the afternoon as divers were getting ready to splash in for their second dive.
We “beat” the weather and had a nice following sea on the ride home. An absolutely balmy 56f on bottom (usually doesn’t happen in Stellwagen) 40-50ft+ visibility and a couple Goosefish and other usual suspects. No whales but still plenty of marine life.
Unfortunately this will probably be our last trip to Stellwagen this season. Until next year!
Here are some photo’s taken by Sang Lee. I didnt bring a camera on the dive.
